Remember when they used to make FF games where the main character didn't look like a sissy? (like that [link] )

Those are the ones I like, so I decided to make some art of the very first one (still one of the best).
Since I couldnt find any art of it anywhere, I had to make stuff up based on the sprites (though the girl is pretty different). I hope they look alright.
Anyway, theyre spending the night in some kind of ruins or abandoned castle... the knight is watching to make sure no monster will surprise them.

Oh and I know theres supposed to be 4 of them... but.. whatever. Just imagine the theif ran off with the girl's purse...

:XD: The link you gave us made me laugh. Its so true... I just didnt want to admit it because I used to be into those games. Those old games are fantastic.. even though it must have been hard to draw them up using pixels as a reference, it still must have been fun! ^^

I've always looved your shading.. all of the characters' shading are fabulous! I especially like the knights armor.

Another awesome pic ;) The original FF was so hard for me when I was little, I never got through the fire cave (damn ogres). But, I played through the game again a few years ago and made it through rather easily :D

Your fighter doesn't look like he's enjoying being the lookout, lol. But, like you said, at least he looks like he has the potential to actually hurt someone.

you know whats funny......those were the games were amano (the artist) made them look like sissies.....funny huh..it is like irony...now if your wondering why am am articulating my words hard core, and not putting in question marks, it is because i am on a french keyboard and have no knoledge of it is use......damn...
